Terms of use

1.What CarsYards is

An online marketplace where individuals, yards, showrooms and dealers list cars for sale, and where buyers find and view them. We are not a party to any sale. We don't own or inspect the cars listed, and we don't guarantee their condition, price or ownership.

Price, payment and transfer of ownership are agreed directly between seller and buyer, under the laws that apply where they are.

2.Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Give accurate details, including your phone number, and keep them up to date.
• You're responsible for everything done from your account, so don't share your sign-in link.
• You can delete your account at any time from “My account”.

3.Listings

• Only list cars you own or are authorised to sell.
• Information and photos must be accurate, current and of that car, and mention any damage or accident you know of.
• AI helps you write the listing from your photos, but you are responsible for reviewing and correcting everything published under your name.
• Update the car's status when it's reserved or sold.
• Fake, duplicate or misleading listings, and offensive or unlawful content, are not allowed.

4.Trust score, VIN and history

The trust score, VIN decoding and the CarsYards history are aids based on what the seller provides and on free public sources. They can be incomplete or wrong, and they don't replace an inspection by a trusted professional before you buy.

5.Viewings and reviews

• Keep the viewings you book or accept, and cancel early if your plans change.
• Meet in a safe place, and don't pay anything before seeing the car and checking its papers.
• Reviews are only possible after a real viewing, and must be honest and about your own experience.

6.Verification

When you request verification we review the documents you upload. The “verified” badge means we checked those documents at the time of review; it isn't a guarantee of the seller's conduct or of the cars they list. Forged documents, or documents belonging to someone else, are not allowed.

7.What's not allowed

• Fraud, or impersonating anyone.
• Harvesting user data or scraping the site.
• Spam, or advertising anything other than cars.
• Trying to break into, disrupt or get around the limits of the service.

8.Reports and suspension

We review reports and may remove any listing or content that breaks these terms, or suspend any account, without notice where needed. If you see a problem, use the “Report” link on the car's or yard's page.

9.Fees and advertising

CarsYards is currently free to use. We may show ads within the service, and may later add optional paid features, which we'll announce in advance.

10.Limitation of liability

We provide the service “as is” and work to keep it available and accurate, but we can't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from dealings between users or from relying on information others published.

11.Changes

We may update these terms. We'll publish the new version here with its date, and continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept it.
